From manuscript
to finished book.
We do three things, properly. Press-ready files for any print-on-demand printer. ePUB that reads right on Kindle, Kobo and ten more. Covers drawn by hand in Photoshop and Illustrator. Never AI.
Fixed quote and delivery date before we start. Usually within 24 hours.
A studio is easy to start. A publishing house takes fifteen years. Your book gets the second one.

Backed by the Librum catalogue — registered in COBISS, the national bibliographic system, and sold across the region in tens of thousands of copies.
What we do, properly.
From the words to the finished object — editing, print preparation, ePUB and covers. For authors anywhere in the world.
Every manuscript arrives as a promise. Our work is to keep it — in type, on paper, and on screen.
The part most studios won’t tell you.
A book is a physical and digital object before it is anything else, and readers judge it as one. The margin that breathes. The spine that lines up. The black that prints as black, not muddy grey. The eBook that opens cleanly on a five-year-old phone. The cover that stops a thumb mid-scroll.
These are the details that decide whether a book looks self-made or published — and they’re invisible until they’re wrong. Most rejected files fail on the parts a reader never sees. Most covers that don’t sell fail on craft, not concept.
We don’t use templates and we don’t use AI artwork. Real typesetting decisions on every page, real art direction on every cover. It’s slower. It’s the entire point.

No cost · no commitment
Fifteen years, one obsession.
Librum is an established publisher. The team that produces our own catalogue — fifteen years of it, alongside more than fifty publishing houses across the region — now offers that craft directly to authors and small presses. We’re one arm of ID and Brothers, a Belgrade group built entirely around the written and spoken word: the publishing house, a subtitling and localization studio, and a writers’ community thousands strong.
When authors kept asking whether we could do for their books what we do for our own, we made it a service. This is that service.
About LibrumQuestions authors ask first.
Do you work with authors outside Serbia?+
Yes — we serve authors and small presses worldwide, and most of our clients are based outside Serbia. Time zones aren’t a problem: everything runs over email and file transfer, and most enquiries get a first reply within one business day. The whole site, all communication and all deliverables are in English.
What does it cost?+
Packages start at €100 for eBook, €150 for print, and €300 for the complete print-and-eBook bundle. Those are starting points — the final figure depends on the character count, whether there are illustrations or photos, the trim size and how much cleanup the manuscript needs. You get one fixed, all-in quote within 24 hours, with no hourly billing and no hidden costs. See our packages for what each tier includes.
How long does it take?+
Most print, ePUB and cover projects run 7–14 days from the moment you approve the quote, depending on length and how quickly you return feedback. Translation is quoted per title because it scales with word count. Whatever the service, your delivery date is fixed in the quote before we start — no rolling deadlines.
Do I keep the rights to my book?+
Always. You retain full rights to your manuscript, your text and your finished book. Production work for you transfers no ownership to us — you keep everything, including the editable cover source files once the project is paid. Rights representation for Serbian authors is a separate, opt-in service with its own agreement.
Do you use AI for covers?+
No — never. Every cover is drawn by hand in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, with real typography and real art direction, and you keep the open source files. It’s a quality decision: hand-made artwork is unambiguously yours and doesn’t carry the generic look readers have learned to scroll past.
